Over 2000 personnel to be deployed for Nabanna Abhiyan including IGs and DIGs

  • Over 2,100 police officers and personnel deployed across West Bengal
  • Top officials, including the Chief Secretary and Chief Minister, to be present at Nabanna
  • CP Vineet Goyal will control the situation from the Police Headquarters Control Room

Over 2000 personnel to be deployed for Nabanna Abhiyan including IGs and DIGs

In response to the upcoming Nabanna Abhiyan, a significant police force has been deployed across West Bengal to ensure law and order. The state's administration has mobilized a vast number of officers and personnel to manage the situation.

According to reports, the deployment includes:

  • 21 officers of IG and DIG rank
  • 13 officers of SP and Deputy Commissioner level
  • 15 Additional Police Commissioners and Additional Superintendent of Police rank officers
  • 22 Additional Commissioner and Deputy Superintendent level police officers
  • 26 Inspector rank officers
  • 1,900 police personnel, both lathi-wielding and non-lathi-wielding
  • Over 160 DCRF personnel stationed around Nabanna

Moreover, the Chief Secretary, Home Secretary, and DGP will be present at Nabanna from 10 am. Even the Chief Minister is expected to be at Nabanna during the day, as per sources. Meanwhile, Kolkata CP Vineet Goyal will oversee operations from the Police Headquarters Control Room.
